Our little corner of Wine Country includes the towns of Carlton, Dayton, Lafayette, McMinnville and Yamhill. Why did we choose to call it Wine Country you may ask? Yamhill County has over 80 wineries and 200 vineyards in our backyard, but that is not all we are about. Did you know Lafayette was the original county seat of Yamhill County and was a thriving metropolis in the early days of the county. It was once known as the “Athens of Oregon” and was home to many prominent pioneers, including Abraham Lincoln’s doctor.
